Boo Banger

Boo Banger was born and raised in San Francisco's Western Addition and Bayview Hunters Point neighborhoods. His love for hip hop music began at an early age while listening to such influential rappers as Tupac and other notable Bay Area artists. Throughout his youth, Boo Banger displayed all of the remarkable characteristics of a young man destined for stardom. By the age of 12 he was already attending recording studio sessions and penning lyrics to what would later become classic Bay Area Hip Hop records. In addition to his love for music, Boo Banger is well known for his outgoing personality, humor, and athletic ability. During his high school years he excelled in basketball and later earned a college scholarship. He briefly attended Southern Idaho Junior College and played the position of Point Guard.

Boo Banger was introduced to the rap scene by well-known West Coast rap artist Guce, when he appeared on the album "Bullys Wit Fullys" in 1999. The "Bullys Wit Fullys" album garnered a fan base for Boo Banger and a significant amount of notoriety. As the youngest artist to record on the album, Boo Banger delivered lyrics with a mature and intense swagger reminiscent of Lil Wayne in his adolescence. The phenomenal success of "Bullys Wit Fullys" prompted the release of a second album, "Bullys Wit Fullys 2" featuring Killa Tay and Keak Da Sneak.

Ready to take on rap as a full time career, Boo Banger began to take on projects that featured him as a prominent artist. In early 2001, he joined Guce and Arizona based rapper Capone Milleon to form the Moballtti. The rap trio produced an album entitled the "Mobalotti". This album generated rave reviews on the West Coast rap scene. Boo Banger toured San Diego, Palm Springs, Portland WA, Seattle WA. Eighteen months later, he would join Guce on the "Kings of Gangsta" mixtape hosted by DJ Rick Lee.

With the beginnings of a successful rap career in tow, Boo Banger positioned himself to launch his solo career. He was featured on Bay Area artist Ya Boy's freshman album "Rookie of the Year" in 2005 along with E-40, Turf Talk and The Team. Soon after, Boo Banger would launch his record label Starstudded Entertainment in partnership with Thizz Entertainment. He was featured on the "Thizz Nation, Vol. 18" mixtape on a song with Mistah F.A.B. and was later featured on Traxxamillion's album "Slap Addict".

In 2006, Boo Banger would release his first mixtape project "Thizz Nation Vol. 19" with fellow Starstudded artist and Bay Area notable Fatality. The mixtape featured such artists as Rydah J Klyde, Nina Cash, Dem Hoodstarz and Ya Boy. One year later, Boo Banger would later be featured on Dem Hoodstarz album "Hood Reality", Big Rich's "Hood Tested Block Approved" mixtape and album of the same name, and DJ Rick Lee's "Return of the Dragon" mixtape hosted by E-40, and New York DJ Clinton Spark's mixtape "New York to the Bay".

Boo Banger's underground buzz and street credibility began to reach the masses when he was featured on the record "Candy" with Fillmore artist Bailey the Champ, a song that would make it into regular rotation at Bay Area radio station KMEL. The success of the song would lead to a bond with KMEL music director Big Von and the KMEL Chop Shop DJs. Boo Banger then connected with Charles Kelly of Street Cred Music Group. Street Cred would then begin to manage Boo Banger and promote his music. Through this partnership he would reconnect with fellow artists and comrades Big Rich and veteran Bay Area rap legend San Quinn to produce the record "We Run the Coast", a mixtape version of 50 Cent's "I Love New York". The combined skill and menacing lyrics delivered proved to be the prefect formula and was well received by the masses, inspiring Quinn, Rich and Boo Banger to head back to the studio to recreate the magic. In early 2008, the trifecta would drop the song "Frisco Anthem". The song became an instant classic and Boo Banger solidified himself as a Bay Area heavyweight. Currently, Boo Banger is working on his solo project and the "All City" album with San Quinn and Big Rich scheduled for release September 9, 2008. Tour dates are also in development.
